At 2:00 p.m. on April 1, 2026, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship (I&E) Project Mobilization Meeting for Teachers and Students was successfully held in the Lecture Hall 2 Chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan, the meeting was attended by Zhao Zhihou, Secretary of the Party Committee, Liu Jianbo, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, 37 faculty supervisors across the School and over 60 students. The meeting aimed to pool the strengths of teachers and students and advance the high-quality development of I&E project application work.
At the opening of the meeting, Dean Cao Ruonan emphasized that I&E projects are an important carrier for deepening education and teaching reform and enhancing students’ practical and innovative capabilities. They not only help students integrate professional knowledge with social needs, but also serve as a key initiative for the School to cultivate interdisciplinary foreign language talents and highlight its school-running characteristics. She encouraged teachers and students to take this mobilization meeting as an opportunity to actively engage in I&E practices.
Subsequently, the 37 faculty supervisors introduced their personal profiles and supervision directions one by one through PPT presentations. They shared in detail their academic research achievements, focused research areas and professional expertise, as well as successful cases and experience in guiding students to participate in I&E projects and academic competitions in the past, providing clear references for students to select supervisors and finalize project directions.
Afterwards, Secretary Zhao Zhihou delivered a speech, highlighting the significance of I&E projects in cultivating students’ comprehensive abilities such as teamwork, problem-solving and pioneering innovation, and elaborated on the matters needing attention in project application.
In conclusion, Dean Cao Ruonan once again encouraged all teachers and students to take the initiative to connect and cooperate. Working hand in hand to pool strengths, teachers and students are expected to achieve excellent results in this round of I&E project applications and jointly contribute to the discipline construction and talent cultivation of the School.
