At 3:30 p.m. on April 1, 2026, the work promotion meeting for the African Translation Series Project was held in the conference room of the School. The meeting was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan, with more than 20 faculty members of the project team in attendance.
At the outset of the meeting, Dean Cao clarified that the purpose of this meeting was to coordinate and advance the translation work, sort out the progress, address existing problems, ensure the orderly implementation of the project, and on this basis, explore research pathways.
During the meeting, the participating faculty members reported their respective translation progress, introduced their collaboration with co-supervisors, and presented the phased manuscript submission results. They also conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on refining research topics and expanding research directions based on the translated works.
In her concluding remarks, Dean Cao emphasized that she hoped all faculty members of the project team would complete the translation tasks with high quality and full quantity. Supported by the achievements of the translation series, they should further clarify their research directions and deepen the study of selected topics. The School will continue to provide guarantees and support, promote the in-depth integration of translation achievements and academic research, and contribute to the discipline construction of Country and Region Studies.
